ive seen sum red monkey on sale n the other jeans begin wiv a Y, but they arent my size but they are like only $399, will it be possbile for sum 1 @ red monkey , who makes these jeans to alter them to my size? im a 34? x

To be honest, I don't think there is any altering service availible directly with RMC, even if there was such a service it would be relatively costly and so would be cheaper to purchase a new pair in your size to start with. The only way to get a perfect fit would be to have bespoke RMC's made to special order and that aint gonna be cheap either. There is nothing to stop you getting them altered by a seamstress, however this would alter the shape of the jeans considerably and I dought the results would be worth it in the end.

dunny, im 5'3 and i have not altered any of my jeans although i was tempted. even with a pair of tims they look ok however with trainers its seems like their a lil big. so if was going to alter the length you reckon it would spoil the look/shape. last thing i want is for the jeans to look out of shape.

If you are simply altering the leg then there shouldnt be any problem overall, its just some people alter the waist and the leg width and that really knackers them up LOL. Most guys just cuff the jeans anyway to shorten them and as a stylistic choice which shows off the genuine selvedge to all those haters out there who think you are wearing fakes LOL. If there is simply too much to cuff then by all means shorten the leg, after all, they are your jeans, but bear in mind its unlikely that you will find anyone local who can re create the original chainstich at the hem. It will just be a simple single stitch which wont look as good and will almost cetainly devalue the jeans should you decide to sell them again.

nice one dunny, i think im gonna leave it in that case. i do cuff them normally i just hate it when they sometimes touch the floor. last thing i want is a hole at the bottom of the jeans by dragging them on concrete.

One of our forum members here Damyion tapes the back of his jeans to his sneakers to stop exactly that happening, might be worth trying out if you are concerned about the back of the lower leg being damaged. Doing this should lift them off the floor. Never tried it myself but sounds like a great idea.

works for me. Also preserves the jean for resale later on incase you want to sell them. My size 36 Yoros, I dont have to use tape because the leg end is small enough not to drag.
