Selvedge denim is a type of denim. Selvedge denim was the only type of denim made year & years & years ago. It is created by the threads continuously goin back and forth across the vertical threads. Because the horizontal threads are continuous it creates a 'sevledge'. Modern denim manufacturing cuts the horizontal threads at the end and leave all the threads exposed and they could fray.
Brands will try to make you believe selvedge denim is the best available - this is NOT the case! There is decent selvedge denim but there is also crap selvedge denim used by high street stores.
RMC and vintage Evisu (available on Togged) use decent selvedge denim. Newer Evisu uses poorer quality selvedge denim than they used to. For decent Evisu check out the vintage jeans on Togged - well worth the ££s if not more!
There's alot of fakes on Ebay. Unless you know EXACTLY what to look for then steer clear (I would advise you to steer clear as you don't know what selvedge denim is - I'm saying that in a kind way!

Otherwise you may get stung! Many people have and still do! Although you are correct that £30 is TOO MUCH of a good deal! You'll learn fast

).
Check out Togged for RMC & Yoropiko (they are the ones in your first link) and also vintage Evisu they have the biggest range of RMC/Yoropiko out there!
Hope you enjoy the forum!
