To be honest, we would never know what the profit margin on RMC actually is without being a distributor, but it may suprise you to discover it isnt as high as you might expect, particularly compared to other brands. RMC/Yoropiko is one of the few brands that despite its relatively high price, you can see clearly why it cost so much to make in the frst place. Everything from the basic raw materials used, to the manufacturing process itself is costly, you can be certain that in any event none of the products is made in a sweat shop from sub standard materials like some brands I could mention ( and they charge a lot for the products too!) Also the very limited nature of the products means that low yields will incurr a greater cost to manufacture.
As for becoming a distributor, it wouldnt simply be a case of buying 100 pairs of jeans and away you go, distributors are carefully chosen, and whilst you wouldnt have to be another harvey nicks, you would be expected to be selling at least other high end fashion products. RMC can be a hard sell for some who are unable to properly promote the benefits of the brand despite how popular it already is, and with a few exceptions I have been disapointed by how some distributors market their stock. its high end, treat it that way I say! Of course the other reason why there isnt 100 distributors is simply there wouldnt be enough stock to go round, lets not forget just how limited some of the designs are. The finite nature of RMC/Yoropiko means that will never happen, unless it went the way of Evisu, and we certainly dont want that to happen!
