Im not sure Shin6gc.... RMC jeans are all new to me... And also havent seen any real RMC jeans in stockholm for sale...Only way to buy a pair of jeans are from internet and so its impossible for me to "try out" and see what fits me well... Im more for the "old style of japan-era" Samurais, oni, fujin and raijin, ancinet folk-lore and so on...I have many diffrent types of jeans...Boot-cut, straight-fit, baggy, slim-fit... And I love every style and fits me well! so If I have normaly 36? im going for a waist 34?

btw, thanks for the previous answers all!

I would say yes to that, if you are a 36 then buy a 34 if you want to wear them what I would call normally, rather than loose round the hips. You will find that even after just a couple of hours of wear the 34's will fit you nicely. Its so very hard to advise people regarding sizes because everybody wears them differently and of course there is the issue of whether you will wash them in the normal way because of course shrinkage will be problem and you may find that getting the 34 means they no longer fit afterwards. One way to help you is see what size Raw Evisu fit you well, then base it on that as I find the sizes are a very similar fit to RMC.

no. actually if you have waist 36, you might wanna get 38 cause it'll shrink when washed. but if you are wearing 36 unwashed it'll fit like a 34.

Ha, ha I bet the poor guy is really confused now Shin. I cant speak for yourself but certainly all my RMC are not true to size, and are what I would describe as a generous fit. My 30's fit really nicely, my 32 is loose round my waist, sort of casual style, and if I measure my waist it is a touch over 32. When I first put my 30's on I found that the denim stretched quite quickly and retained that size afterwards. If I washed them however then I expect my 30's wouldnt fit at all and then the 32's after being washed would fit like my current unwashed 30's. Its so difficult to advise, because the larger the size of jeans the bigger the shrink/stretch comparitively speaking. Didn't you buy a smaller size Hungry Dragon Shin, what is the size of them and what is the size of your actual waist?

the hungry dragon i presume fits well although it's 34 while i wear 36 unlike the star wars which fits like a 34 although it's 36.

Yeah my StarWars are a much slimmer fit in the leg and seat, than any of my RMC, although the size 30 I have fits really nicely, I am guessing more like Lot 1001 RMC's. I must admit I didnt realise until I bought my RMC/Yoropiko how much the waist stretches after they have been worn just a couple of times. Given that, I dread to think how much they would shrink if I washed them normally!

i know cause i washed 2 of them. my geishi oriri shrink from 38 to fit like 36 and samurai hero shrinks from 40 to 38 which fits alot better cause size 40 is too baggy and without belt it'll slip right down lol.

Did you just wash them in the machine as normal or in a bath? Did they loose much colour doing that?

at the 1st wash, you'll see your pail of water get all blue, but RMCs have really dark indigo so it's still as dark as always unlike others. i normally machine wash it.
