A tough one this I will admit because I remember seeing Red Line selvedge fakes on sale in Japan which even came with wooden boxes. Older RMC's came with red line selvedge ( although usually in black denim not indigo) before the more common red/green selvedge was availible so its possible it could be though to be legit. However I have a couple of niggles. The stitching around the waistpatch concerns me. Its a single stitch all the way round, now normally genuine RMC's have a small length of double row stitch in the top left hand corner about a third of the way across, and on this waispatch I cant see it. In fact the stitching looks like its been done on a normal sewing machine as the thread used looks a bit too thin. Perhaps its waistpatch was added later, we have seen such fakes before. Also the denim itself is too white and as has already been mentioned, it should have a yellowish hue to it. I can assume its bleached cotton which wouldnt be right. Now the strange thing is, one of my RMC Jackets ( Fu and ra) is what I believe bleached cotton so its possible some examples of jeans could also exsist but Ive never seen them if they ever did. If they are fake then they are pretty good because the inside pockets and inside tags are spot on for this design, even the waistpatch appears to be genuine leather. Ive a feeling these are probably the Japanese fakes with a genuine RMC waistpatch stitched onto them from another pair of Jeans which would explain the dodgy stitching and incorrect denim colour. Also the pictures I have of this design have a red tab on the back and these dont have one ( the ones Shin owns also has red tab), although to be fair there are many designs ( king Kong RMC comes to mind) where they are availble with and without red tabs depending on which market they were destined for. To summerize then I'm gonna say these are most probably fake
