These are all legit, but as always be very careful because there is a minefield of fakes on auction sites, but so long as you know what is real and what isnt then you could pick up a bargain

They certainly aint cheap at nearly $500, but a nice pair of RMC nevertheless. I think TNT has a pair like this and if anybody is looking to make a purchase it might be worth asking TNT or Martin to check em out first. They seem legit, the box is a cardboard one which raises suspicion, as many fakes come in these ( I am assuming it should have a wooden one but maybe it came like this, given some USA models and Prohibit designs had cardboard boxes) and the bottom of the legs have been turned up too I think, and not very well either given the single stitch instead of the normal Chain stitch. The selvedge is single red line and poss single green/blue, its hard to tell, TNT's sample pair have light yellow/blue selvedge but the buttons are plain like TNT's so at least that matches. Given that TNT's Jeans are a sample pair maybe the production models came with the different Selvedge used at that time. I will go out on a limb and say they are legit unless anybody else thinks different, the condition seems too new for such an old design however. If they are, then they are worth every penny of the asking price in that condition for a fairly rare RMC like that.

100% legit.
lot1002 standard, no 5 digit lot, so they got the normal blue/red selvedge.
the turn up leg is single stitch but on the other side it is double stitch.
most of the yellow threads are reverse inside out. thats why the yellow contrast stitching looks brighter. thats because its thicker. you may check standard rmcs, when you watch em from the outside, all seams are single and double-chain-stitched from the inside. on those wool pairs thats reverse.

and the fact that it uses a cardboard box is also not suspicious. many rmcs in hong kong and taiwan use both wooden and cardboard boxes, especially some older designs.
prohibit and us cardboard boxes are black and different from those standard cardboard boxes.

the only strange thing bout those jeans is that their auction is on ebay for about 2years now.
the seller seems to be from japan, thats why he calls it akasaru (akasaru means red monkey in japanese).
but usually only fake rmcs are akasaru, but this one is only called so by the seller, there isnt written akasaru anywhere.

so no worries

Cheers buddy, thanks for clearing that up and confirming their authenticity. Strange that it has been on auction for 2 years, maybe they just havn't sold. They are certainly a very nice pair of RMC and in great condition. I wasn't aware either that the hem stitching was reversed on this model so I guess we continue to learn something new every day here! Again thanks for imparting your Knowledge TNT!

Hi,
i am going to head to the introducing forum but this post kinda shaked my head!

Since when RMC Jeans has some laser printed leather patch on em?

Because its sometimes hard to see if a model, a style is fake or not but most of em are fake when they dont have this laser print on...

By the way you can browse all the chinese web sites selling fake ones (they dont even hide themself if you chat with em, that they sell "replicas"), but none of em are laster printed...

I am kinda a beginner on RMC jeans but i noticed this! Though i am a professionnal manager of an outlet clothes company, and i know this business a bit since i am working sometimes with real D&G t shirt getting out of the italian factory, as well as VERSACE right now...

I did bid on a rmc jeans in ebay france, and i won, i hope its not a fake one, i am still waiting the jeans to come home here, but the guy said he had troubles the past days and just sent it (i checked he was a good ebayer though i hope its not a fake or i gonna cry to the customs lol). Its the style with the bridges on back pockets...

Anyway, i am still learning and as its written on the leather patch "u never try u never know!"

See you soon!

PS: if someone has a jean in this style, old and cheap, i could be a buyer hehe

Hi there Loic, not all RMC have lasered waistpatches, the older ones don't for example. Generally if they were produced 2006 onwards then most will have a lasered waistpatch. The main thing to check with fakes is the selvedge, genuine ones have Red/green selvedge. If the Jeans you see are not selvedge at all then give em a very wide berth, they will certainly be fake! If you purchased yours from the E bay seller littlenoumea then they are probably fake
