You want to be really careful doing that. As far as I'm aware that is illegal & the insurance would be invalid. Not many people know about it. If the first driver (as in the person who uses the car the most) is you, you then you can't insure it in your Dad's name & put you as a 'named' driver (2nd driver - some using it less frequently).

What you should do is a 'Pass Plus' course (cost about £120 - £160 ish) but it will give you 1 years no claims straight away. Even though the course costs - you will save £££s!
If you have had a scooter/moped then you can also get 1 years no claims (provided you have 2 scooter no claim years).

I'd recommend CIS (Co-op Insurance) for young drivers - alot cheaper!

Thanks CD, yeh alot of peopel have said to go far the Pass Plus by paying extra, but i have another option by insuring under my dads business. I was joined to Atlantic Star for 2 months, were it allows kids over the age of 14 to go behind the wheel and learn how to drive, and ify ou pass the course successfully then your insurance is supposed to decrease when you are fulyl qualified to drive, but i stopped going.

To get a golf MK4 1.4 fully Com, it costs £3200 for a new driver, which is too expensive, but still if i do it this way, i will have no claims, therefore in the second year i wont have to pay as much. And also i got an estimtate from CIS and it comes out to £4200, lol. i also have to pay a £500.00 excess fee. But when the time comes i will make my decision.

Thanks CD, for your advise and info.

Obviously it depends on the area (postcode) you live in - plus loads of other factors.
But pupils that I have that have taken insurance in their own name & on their own car have found CIS to be best. I was originally recommend CIS by a friend. But do check round after the first year as it was alot cheaper for me to then go with Direct Line rather than CIS. Only one pupil found it to be more - but that was some stupid size turbo engine!

Good luck with the search - be interested to hear what company you go with when you take out insurance. Have you passed your test yet?

Back on topic - collab wise.
I always thought a RMC x Jhung Yuro would be good. They both are luxury brands & would be quite suited.

Back in the day an RMC x Moschino would have been out of this world - a match made in heaven.

I would like to see an RMC x Louis Vuitton range of bags. It could work really well. But could work realy bad!

Yeah collabs have the unfortunate side effect of either working well where more people take an interest in the other brand because they like the collab, or being disasterous where if you dont like the collab you dont want to buy anything from the other company because you were disappointed with it. Yeah and def. agree with CD on a Jhung Yuro x RMC collab, this would be excellent, two quality brands together. Besides CD already did the design work, just got to put it into production!
