Now here's a question (obviously!) :

Do you think RMC is 'trapped' in one particular market?

I was just looking at that list & thinking could RMC be adopted too much just by one type of market?

I think Evisu is heading that way a bit too.

Do you think that's why Yoropiko was formed to distance itself from that market (not in a bad way!)?

If not, do you think there will be another collection from Martin to target people outside this rapper/urban market? I know there are people that just won't even look at RMC due to it's close connections to a rapper/urban market.

A 'bit' (ish) heading of topic - but I think it's relevant to the thread.

i wouldn't say it's trapped cause fashion is always open to all who accepts it. i mean lebron james wears it too and he ain't a rapper. RMC / Yoropiko fits and are more of a street wear compared to jeans from example, versace, armani etc.. it's meant to stand out and that's why it attract rappers more since standing out is what they are constantly persuing. i'll say yoropiko is wat i think open up martin's design to a wider range like it's not so flashy washed denim and not forming a distance.

Yeah agreed, I dont think Martin ever set out to market any of his products at the Rapper/Hip Hop crowd, they just embraced it. I mean in the UK RMC is worn by lots of celeb footballers for example, and the likes of Jamie Foxx in the US also have been seen wearing it. To be fair I can certainly see where CD is coming from, there is a strong association there and of course Evisu could also be accused of having a similar connection. Given that I am not especially into Rap or Hip Hop in any great way ( although I do like some of it) I guess I am living proof that RMC/ Yoropiko isnt only something that young people into that kind of music are buying. I dont fit the "profile" of a RMC enthusiast in the normal sence. I guess the Rap/Hip Hop fraternaty just know what good style and great quality are all about!
