They jus close without any warning. They say they were going under maintenence after the pirate store sale, a week after, the property is for lease..

actually, bape was more popular in the U.S. a few years ago, at least in my experience, and has gotten slightly less and less popular each year, especially with how steep bape's prices tend to be and the slow economy..

This really come as a surprise being Kid Cudi affiliations with the LA shop and how he was at the NY shop not too long ago either.

I expect Bape like all fashion brands is finding it difficult with the economy, nobody is immune. Part of Bapes downfall could be its collaberations of which many recent ones have taken the brand out of its core fanbase. The URSUS collabs have been good but some others are much more dubious like the Bape x Daiwa fishing gear collab. Quite what that is all about is anybodies guess? Also Nigo is less hands on regarding the design of many of the brands new releases and I think this has upset many hard core fans.

As a fan of Bape, I think it's especially the collections which are much less amazing than a few years ago, even if the crisis as an impact.

Bape should renew itself or do a "bac to basics".
