When was the first pair of RMC jeans ever made and what is the oldest pair still in existence?

Thats a very good question, I would expect that Martin has the oldest pair ever made given he makes them, however given he made his very early designs in very small quantites maybe he sold them all, after all thats why he is in business. Its anybodies guess then where those would have been sold and who still has them in their possession. RMC was founded in 2002 so I will assume the oldest RMC are 6 years old, so its still a young company.

but the old rmcs look like they were from 1860^^
but that was the intention of martin i think, the old rmcs had design element from old mine worker jeans used in the 1850´s and 1860´s.
jeans found from this time period are the most expensive denim ever.
there is for example a replica from the most expensive jeans, a levis jeans from this period found some decades ago. there are 501 pieces of it for the price of 501€, i´ve already hold them in my hand, unfortunately not the original what sold for ten thousands of €

Yeah the old style RMC's certainly look much older than they are and I assume that was the intention, to replicate the look of old worker dungarees. I guess they had different washes and aging processes to give that effect as well.
