Question Jeans a lil' tight - 02-06-2010, 06:54 AM

hey need some help ,
i recently started jogging and have put on some weight from it so now my charcoal wave denim fits a bit tight,
any advice how to stretch them ? nd i dont want to wash them or soak them cuz obviously they'll lose shape and colour.

so open to ideas,

What you can do is give the jeans a good stretch from the waist. I mean the same applies if you are afraid the jeans will shrink when you soak them. Give the jeans few good stretches while they're drying and they will retain pretty much the same waist size. Most of the jeans also tend to stretch in wear so just wearing them a lot also helps.

Yeah, agree with Tony all the way. The only way to stretch them is to wear them, unless of course they have reached their limit already due to them being tight when you first bought them. Naturally they will only stretch so much. Certainly dont try washing them, dry clean from now on because water is only gonna make the problem worse in my opinion.

Its easy to know when you have reached your Jeans full stretch............you will hear a ripping sound soon after LOL If all else fails you could one of those waist expanders, it a simple device that consists of a bit of material with a button on it which you attatch to your top button of your jeans and then pop the button on the expander through the top eyelet. Can add a couple of inches to the waist of your jeans without having to get them professionally altered and best of all is you just remove the expander once your waist shriks back down.

EDIT; also try googling "Instant button for Jeans" a great yet simple idea!

With wear I guess the jeans can stretch at least an inch. Naturally the number of washes, washing temperature and drying method will affect this as well.

i'm willing to part with them at $250us no less,
they are brand new and only worn with the exception of around the house from me trying to loosen them up a bit.

New these are over $300 from togged,
so save 50 bucks
