It doesn't mean a thing! You can buy selvedge for like $3 or so a yard. High Street stores sell selvedge jeans. It's the QUALITY of the denim that matters. Ford sells cars but so BMW and Ferrari. There's a difference in the quality.
Look at the RMC - they use high quality selvedge, lots of embroidery and are made in small limited runs. This is what you are paying for - plus other finer details.
Most celebs now know the difference and would NEVER touch Rangy Mountain Company! They will only buy GENUINE Red Monkey RMC Martin Ksohoh!!
