I read somewhere that Rangy are saying they are the original rmc jeans from japan. This got me thinking what is the oldest pair of Rangy jeans around? I don't think you can find a pair over a year old?

there are rangy jeans which are older than a year. but they werent the original japanese rmcs.

rmc made in japan have been produced up to 2005. they had "Red Monkey Compy" patches, not red monkey company. on their patch was lot number (1001,1002 or 1003 - yeah those also had lot 1003 with cinchback) and size, but the size wasnt only printed on as waist size like "34" but size x length "34 x 35"

on the inside white tag was RMC 100% cotton made in japan.
they had red/white selvedge, not only on the legs but on the waist, too. they were all-selvedge like yoropikos.

those are real japan rmcs, they are no longer available and i dont know if they were produced in 2002-2004, only know bout 2005 versions.

One thing is for sure, if Martin didnt produce them, then however old they are they are all fake anyway. The Rangy name is only about a year old, as usual they are using Martins legacy to give credibility to their brand.
