listen people, you will never be able to be 100% positive about the authenticity of a pair of jeans. you need to use some common sense and guy instinct. the by/sell forum should be open to all premium denim brands.

i havent read all the stuff in here because i dont have the time.
we should only permit premium brands to be sold here, because rmc/yoro is a premium brand, too. and luxus denim lovers probably know about more than only rmc but also about maybe evisu or sugar cane and so on...
but on the other hand i wouldnt care if only sales of rmc and yoropiko are allowed, this is an RMC forum and the main topic here is rmc.
and i think that some people dont get it that this is an rmc forum, i wont say names, but these people are only talking about other brands, nothing in common with rmc. i wonder why they are here? rmc doesnt have to be everyone´s favourite brand, but where´s the problem to talk about rmc if you´re here...?
...but in the end noone can forbid them doing here what they want, we have an open forum and if they just want to post in the open forum, then i dont care...

and the point that you may only sell rmc/yoropiko with genuine receipt is nothing i´d agree with. fakes also have receipts, there are not official stockists who have genuine rmc - they are more than the official stockists. and what about the official stockists that were removed from the list because they dont sell rmc anymore but did it maybe a year or two ago?

what about 3rd hand rmcs? you buy from someone who has bought it from someone and he bought it somewhere from a store...the chance is huge that the receipt has been lost ages ago. if u always need a receipt, the chance of finding the really rare stuff for collectors will disappear...
when everybody wants a receipt, the chances that rmc increases its value will shrink, too. it aint anyone´s business for how much the pair was bought.

lets take a brand new pair for a worst case example:
u buy some brand new rmc (standard price $500) for $200, from some shop that gives a lot of discount for their rmc (yea, that really happens!)

after a while u decide not to wear the jeans and to sell it, because u dont like it or its too big for you. when you open a thread for selling it here and attach the receipt on the pictures, where it says, bought for just $200, noone will even think about giving more than those 200. every chance of value increase is devastated with the receipt concept.

and if we start to discuss about the old and nice and extremely limited pairs which have a much bigger value than on the receipt - if it can be found and wasnt lost - then noone will offer more than the receipt price either, no matter what condition they are.

it´s a different thing to say, they retailed for $500 a long time ago or really to see the receipt.

DON´T DO THIS RECEIPT SYSTEM, THE WHOLE VALUE OF 2ND HAND RMCs AND YOROPIKOS HERE WILL FALL EXTREMELY!

dunny, shin and me, we know enough about rmc to tell if a pair is genuine or not, and we can verify the authenticity better than some phucking receipt.
with detail pictures of the actual pair we never will fail deciding whats real and whats fake.

Thats a very good point TNT you make regarding the issue of a receipt and I tend to agree with you. A receipt in itself doesnt actually prove that the item is genuine, just shows when you bought it and how much you paid ( although it can prove it was bought from a genuine authorised dealer). And like you said if the item was discounted then some people would be reluctant to part with more than the original purchase price, despite it being in actual fact worth a great deal more. Ironically the older the RMC the more it tends to be worth to collectors too, the original purchase price is of no significance any more. Whilst I keep nearly all my receipts, there are a couple of pairs I have which never had a receipt but of course they are genuine. I think the most important thing in any sale is detailed pictures which allow us all to properly scutinise the product thoroughly. So long as they are genuine then really in the end thats all that matters.

buy sell section should be open to all premium brands. if a member also owns a pair of evisu or edwin or canes they should be allowed to sell them too imo.

I think for RMC/Yoropiko - provided there is a receipt (even if it means blacking out the price - but I don't even think this would be needed all the time).
