Default Respect Rules - 12-20-2008, 12:01 AM

Please note, this is NOT an appropriate forum for BUYING & SELLING. If you would like to OFFER "GENUINE" products use the BUY & SELL FORUM (which is only open to members). Please also note, before you attempt to sell you must verify the authenticity of your product with a Moderator. We do not permit the selling of FAKES. Thank you.

Mutual respect is very important and being polite is one of them. Please refrain from calling people id**ts or curses cause that isn't very respectful towards others. I know there are times when people would have different opinions and ideas but it can be settles without foul languages. There are many other people watching this forum other than members here so keep it clean to keep the forum's image to others a good one. Thanks!

Fair point Shin but the guy responsible for trying to shift his fakes on this forum had to be stopped.

Anyone can post a photo and say it's the real thing they're selling. But we all are intelligent enough here to know what you see in a photo is not what is sent in the mail by scammers. If the guy was genuine he would have first asked you or another mod for permission and then when the items had been verified as real he would have posted them in the correct BUY & SELL forum and NOT the open forum. This forum has a lot of real denim experts and fans and we cannot have someone trying to unload fakes here.

Naturally anybody selling on this forum who supplies pictures of the products that they are selling which appear genuine must be assumed genuine unless there is any evidence to the contrary. If any forum members believe that items for sale here are in any way fake please state what it is about the items that makes you believe so ( simply saying its fake or the stuff you will prob. recieve will be fake isnt fair to the seller), and the moderators will take up the issue. It isnt fair for sellers to try to sell fake items to forum members and will not be tolerated, but likewise it isnt fair to state an item for sale is fake when there is no evidence to support it either. Moderators will always cross check any pictures supplied by sellers to ensure that what is being sold is genuine. Of course our knowledge isnt exhaustive, so any members who believe that fake items have been in any way overlooked should perhaps PM any Moderator in the first instance with their concerns and the reasons why they believe the item/s are fake. As always there are ways of addressing any issues in a friendly environment. As some members will be aware we have no problem banning any members who attempt to sell fake items irrespective of brand. It also has to be pointed out that what you get supplied by any seller could in all possibility be very different to the pictures shown, as indeed happens on auction sites like E bay. The forum cannot take any responsibility for any such actions, any sales that take place are a private matter between the seller and the buyer. Again if this has occurred, inform a moderator who will look into the matter. Above all lets keep this a place where everybody receives mutual respect, irrespective of any differences of opinion we may have, and keep it an enjoyable place to discuss our common interests.

I'm going to say that I think the buying/selling of non RMC/Yoropiko should be banned!!

The ONLY sales allowed should be 2ND HAND RMC or Yoropiko! Which of course should be backed up by a receipt from an AUTHORISED STOCKIST!!
If this isn't the case then the post should be deleted.

Also links to RMC/Yoropiko (possibly other brands aswell) on auctions websites, such as ebay, requesting authenticity checks should be deleted also. If the seller posts their items for sale on here then that's great (provided they have shown proof of purchase from an authorised stockist).

There are so many people that go on forums requesting help on trying to baga bargain - 99% of which turn out to be fake - but never actually join in past the authenticity check they want help with!

This is an RMC / Yoropiko FORUM afterall NOT some market place for fakes! The Buy & Sell area is provided for FREE so people should take note of this!

If this facility keeps being taken advantage of, I guess it would be removed.

I am in agreement with you all the way CD. The buying and selling of items be they RMC/Yoropiko or not seems to cause more problems than anything else on this forum. As I have previously suggested, it is my opinion that any private sales between members are kept exactly that way, ie via an Auction service like E bay, thus removing it directly from this forum. Whatever goes on then is entirely between the seller and buyer. I have no objection to members posting links to their sales for the benefit of other forum members ( having shown proof of authenticity), and any links that direct members to goods which are found to be fake can be removed. As for authenticating goods, again I have no problem with that per say, because whilst I am aware many of these requests do come from members who are rarely active and are just trying to bag a deal, at least we are made aware of what fake stuff is being sold on sites like E bay and can at least help in some part to reduce the number of people who buy this rubbish and in turn hurt the pocket of the fakers too. After all anything I can do to prevent another Fake being sold is all good in my book, and I wouldnt want anybody to get an impression of the quality of RMC by mistakenly having bought a fake. Its unlikely anybody assuming that this fake was what the quality of the real deal is would ever likely buy another pair, which not only damages the reputation of RMC but also potential future sales too.

i would lke to see the option for members to sell all denim brands. in fact all types of genuine clothing here. however, as cd says, i think every item needs to be back up with a copy of a receipt to prove it's authenticity and items should only be advertised in the buy & sell forum. also i agree every member should firt ask permission from a moderator before posting.

definitely let members sell whatever brand they want in the buy/sell section providing they're not fakes.
