Pretty clean kicks (the vans I mean). I think it's the same thing with Cons, but still Chuck Taylors always look good to me.

Vans are cool. I used to rock the "off the wall" style back in the day. oh, to be a 12 yr old skate rat again.

There are some much awesome and sophisticated pairs on this forum that sometimes I think that a "back to basics" can be justified
Moreover, I didn't except that Vans was having such a success in America

yeah Vans started out as a skate shoe company. they were all hand made from what I remember the sales person saying, keep in mind I was 11 at the time, but from going to K-mart kicks to my first pair of "mall sneakers" and from going from like $10 kids sneakers to $45 "skate shoes", that sort of stuck out in memory. hand made. I felt like I was getting something special. and I had to justify such a price jump to my mom, for something I'd out grow in 2 months.

for years my shoes were ONLY Vans , Airwalks, or Doc Martens. probably all the way through high school. now that I think about it I have a pair of vans in my closet. I wore vans all through AFF (skydiver school)

Ive been wearing Vans for over 23 years. not the boat shoes, but the skate shoes.
