I would love a pair of RMC's with worded selvedge, there are only a few which have it, I think it looks really cool. On a visit to TK maxx here in the UK I came across these jeans from Calvin Klein. The denim is selvedge and is used thoughout the construction, on the back pockets, the small front coin pocket, along the zipper and of course the length of the leg. The denim felt very cheap to be honest, being thin, so I was suprised that Calvin Klein had gone to the trouble of having the selvedge worded. Either way it was still pretty impressive, Ive only ever seen Bape have worded selvedge, I assume its quite an expensive process perhaps. That said they were marked as made in China so who knows. Yeah to be honest they are the only selvedge jeans by CK I've seen so to see them with worded selvdge was an even bigger suprise.

Why is a selvedge sought after...??? its just the part of the fabric that doesnt run if aint cleaned finsihed..... whats the big deal really ???

all piles of fabric you can buy in any fabric store got a selvedge side to em..... so ehhh whats the biggie ??


be sides even if not selvedge side it should last ur life time anyway..... so ???

To be honest a denim being selvedge doesnt guarentee its absolute quality, however the denim made on older vintage looms at least gives you some confidence the quality is more likely and the look of the produced denim is more unique and uneven. It has imperfections which denim freaks love. Having worded selvedge doesnt make the denim any better but its a more complicated manufacturing process so it gives a little more Kudos to the brand plus you know the denim was bespoke made for them and not just a generic made selvedge.

As for RMC, there are only a few with worded selvedge, The Heineken Red Star RMC's, the Tropsicle RMC's, the recent Mad patch all have it, there a few more but off the top of my head I cant think of them, but certainly its not common, but I like it, I think it adds a nice touch to the product.

i don't know how many jeans have that selvedge but from what i have, the Yakult x RMC, AAAA x RMC and Mad patch have them.
