The amount they will shrink will also vary when you wash them because a very hot wash will shrink them more than a cooler wash for example. You should allow approx 10% - 20% for shrinkage not only on the waist but also the leg length. For a pair of Jeans like the Deluxe Evisu there will be significant shrinkage, my advise is get the size 36 for the loose fit you are after and only ever dry clean them. This way you will not only keep them looking new and retain the colour ( reduce fading), but if you do this they will age better ( some people suggest not washing your jeans for at least a year!). If you are paying a big amount for a top pair of Evisu, then its worth paying for dry cleaning, besides how dirty are they really gonna get anyway? If you really have to wash them then do it at low temperatures only with not too much washing powder, dont put them in the dryer after, just let them dry naturally ( dont put them on a radiator either!) and flatten them out whilst drying. Hope that helps
