Posted this on Kitmeout and it's good to let you guys in on what's new with Momotaro Jeans brand.

For the Spring and Summer 2010 Momotaro Jeans is introducing Europe Label, lines of denim that feature the essence of Vintage denim.

Original (15 oz Grand Blue and Japan Blue) Denim Fabrics from Momotaro Jeans that use warp yarn recreating deep indigo shades Momotaro is known for. The Grand Blue line is woven with warp yarn that uses indigo and black woven yarn.

The original (13 oz Melange) gray colored Denim Fabric is woven with warp yarn made of natural and dyed top gray cotton thus called "Moku Gray"-yarn.

This season Momotaro Jeans is also introducing a line of washed jeans (14 oz) that feature fading lines on the thigh and at the back of the knee which are made individually by hand. Complete hand finishing makes every pair one of a kind. The jeans are made all in-house in Kojima, Okayama.

A nice collection Tony, I particularly like the last pair, just the right amount of distress and in the right places too, remind me a bit of PRPS, but I know Momotaro quality will be way better. Also a nice looking fit, not too baggy, I can see these enjoying a wide appeal

the cutting looks nice and the distressed version looks good too. How would you compare this to their japan line up?

This is a Japan line up, all made in Kojima, Okayama. No difference whatsoever when it comes to the production of the jeans. The title is just Europe Label due to the influence of the European market. The denim is simply awesome. The 13 oz Melange denim is pretty much softest "heavy oz" denim I have seen and all I can say is that the pictures do not do justice to the jeans. Not at all. Tried to give as accurate descriptions on our blog and will post more pics once we get the samples. The 15 oz denim is also slightly softer in comparison to the rigid Vintage label denim. All of the lines come in raw form as the raw denim is very popular in Europe. Naturally the washed denim is washed, heh. But the line-up is really representing the essence of vintage denim.

Cheers Dunny. Yeah, the raw lines come in Classic Straight and Tight Fit and the washed jeans in Classic Straight cut. The washed jeans are distressed by hand, every line handmade one by one... I mean the brand is cutting no corners, heh.

Posted pics of the Made in Kojima Europe Collection on our blog last night. The pics should give an even better idea of the new styles of denim. Hoping to get more feedback on the line and should all go well the collection will be available in July. Cheers guys...
