it would be great if martin made some big and tall gear even if just a limited exploratory run.

Yeh I've seen the Evisu 44's.
But aparantly Evisu go upto a 46 which measures in at a 48 (and don't shrink).
SDA have just ust done a run of 38 - 48 waist (which are sized one inch big & will shrink one inch).
Samurai have some new jeans out which are 46 (48 pre-wash). But the guy says he's sure they did a 48 aswell.

He's checking out some of the other brands awell Pure Blue, Sugar Cane etc.

No not a specific design.
I've spoken to Paul about RMC doing a larger size and they were looking into it.
As far as I'm aware it's possible to make them bigger (or taller).

With the new RMC push in the USA - new stockists & the Rangy thing getting well publised - this could be the perfect timing. Who knows?

Maybe i'll give Paul a shout and see what the price would be for a 'sample' pair.

Wow, $500+ is very expensive for a SD101. The denim is a good 15oz, but the dye is only pure indigo, not natural indigo. I think the SD101XX (with natural indigo) has a much better indigo colour (and a funkier selvedge :P), but even the SD101XX don't cost anywhere near $500US if you get a Japanese shop to post it to you via EMS. But then again, I have no idea how much extra up-sizing would cost :S

D'Artisan's jeans are fairly slim - I'd go with the SD-D02 for a more relaxed fit.

I've been wearing my D'Artisan D-1334 (war model, 15oz, natural indigo) for about 2 months now (even when I sleep) and I'm loving it.
