this brand has become quite chavvy, i dont mean the brand it self, but jeans have been selling in the market with the same style, with all that graffiti writing going on, the jackets, t shirts, and also the jeans. Thats why you hardly see anybody wearing it. It the same thing that happened to burberry, but burberry managed to overcome, it but they are still fighting it but this studio.. brand seems as if it is not hearabout anymore.

It's true that Studio D'Artisan isn't very popular outside Japan. The only place I know that sells it outside Japan is Blue in Green Soho in the USA.

I think it's because they do reproductions (and they do it well), with emphasis on the quality of the materials (denim, rivets, pocket cloths, etc) and craftmenship - things that are not immediately apparent to the average consumer, so they won't be the flashiest things around and that's why they are only popular with denim-nerds.

They mostly replicate the old style Levi's, so the design/cut of the denim will be fairly similar every year - the variation mostly comes from the type of denim and indigo that is used.
