Default Studio D'Artisan - 06-08-2008, 09:35 PM

Just wondered who has a pair of Studio D'Artisan? In particular the SD 101 model.

Are they any good?

Thought about getting a pair (£250 as they are a larger size) but there's no info about the measurements. Being a big guy I don't like my jeans to be tight on the leg (as I know a load of you guys don't!).
It's classed as a straight fit but I just wondered how loose is a 'straight fit'?

Thanks!

$500 is a lot of cash for SDA. What size do they go up to?

Yes - very true but they don't go up to my size. If either did - especially the Canes then I'd buy them NOW!

Kanye - just done a run of 38 to 48.

Got to be honest, dont have any knowledge on this brand to help you out buddy, dont suppose any of their dealers list the approx. sizes, ie Leg length, rise, width, etc....in their info next to the pic of the Jeans? EDIT Try Blue in Green which has a size chart, only up to size 40 sadly, might give you some idea http://blueingreensoho.com/site/inde...mart&Itemid=28

Speaking With A Guy Involved In The Japanese Fashion Indusrty Today And He Said Most Japanese Brands Are A Lot Smaller Than American And European Because Their Consumer Base Is Smaller.

Yeah I would agree with that, brands like Diesel an G Star amongst others are popular more so than Japanese specialist brands with most buyers but often they buy because of the name, and although the quality of their goods is decent, they cant compete with the smaller Japanese Denim companies. It is mostly Denim Maniacs that buy this high end stuff. Yoropiko is in a similar position, few have heard of it and the only people who really appreciate what you are wearing are often Yoropiko fans as well.

I'm waiting to hear from someone - apparently they think Samurai, Evisu & some others go up to a big size. I'll have to see what he says.
