Default Why RMC Jeans - 12-19-2008, 10:00 PM

Easy people how are we? i keep ending up on this site when ever i am looking for jeans and reviews so thought it was time i joined.

I have only recently got into jeans i used to be a hoody man, no real preference in brand or design if i like it i buy it i really dont care what brand it is. The same with jeans although i must admit i fall into the embroidery category as i often feel (i will get shot down evisu fans) prints look cheap even when they are clearly high quality. it cracks me up as i have no clue about half the brands you lot are talking about on here but i like a lot of them when i go check them out except the price tag that is.

anyway enough about me as you really dont care about that. my question why RMJ? what is so special. unfortunately i dont no any shops in London other than little shops here and there that sell nice jeans. when i say nice most sell cheap nock offs with the odd gem that they dont realize is very under priced. here my problem lies i HATE buying clothes without trying them on, seeing how they feel etc, so HATE buying clothes online. looking at pictures i like the design of some but feel that others are nice but not as special as you guys make out. please bear in mind i have never seen a pair and most of you guys seem to own them before you shoot me down

so why RMJ? and does anyone know any shops in london that are decent retailers for jeans, not a bape jean fan although hoodies are all good. pictures online often dont do the product justice and i am not very keen but reading the posts seems to suggest most people in the uk buy online

Hi 'new boy'!!

If in London take a look at your Harvey Nics & Selfridges type of stores - they will cater for most tastes be it street like RMC, TYO, Evisu to your designers like Armani, Boss, McQueen etc.

Remember with buying online you can try them on in the comfort of your own home. Try them with various trainers or shoes, different tops, get opinions for different people etc. Yes you may have to pay return postage with would be a few quid but definately worth it if you can't by the product in a shop or if the product is cheaper online!

Togged.com will be able to help you out no problem - they are top guys who all know about what they sell!!

RMC are purely class. They have some amazing designs which blow every other brand away - they just can not compete. RMC is a smallish brand which means you won't see loads of people wearing it - like you do with Evisu & other brands.

The actual quality of the denim is decent & has an oustanding texture.

Plus the jeans (imo get better with age - much like a wine!). Take a look at some of the worn jeans around - they are the dogs!

Re the price point - they are produced in limited quanities which result in high over-heads. If you were to make 10 pairs of jeans, it would cost alot more than to make 100, which would also cost alot more than to make 10,000 pairs. You are paying for high quality raw materials & a limited product.

I would say order a couple of pairs maybe an RMC & Yoropiko to see them. The photos do not do them justice! You can always cancel the order & get a full refund!

Which ones you got your eye on?

Hi there Neegs and welcome to our little community! Very hard to explain why we love RMC so much, it really is very addictive gear, you start with one pair and before you know it you just want more and more! Certainly there is nothing like being able to walk down the street or through the mall wearing something totally different to everybody else. Opinions are divided, it is either love it or loathe it style wise, but even if you are not a fan of the style nobody can deny the quality of the Jeans and clothing. The sky is the limit, you can opt for more conservative designs ( maybe wave pockets only on a pair of RMC) or go wild with a pair of Yoropiko Dragons. As most members here will no dought agree, I personally like to keep it all very low key..............NOT! Anyway as CD said by all means most online retailers will allow you to return any item you are not totally happy with, so there is nothing to loose, go for it son!

when I wear my RMC/Yoro's and people find out how much they cost, they give me a strange look and ask why. For me I love the product, celebrities wear them. They are hard to find and made in very limited quantities, so if you dont want to see joe the plumber wearing the same gear as you go with RMC.

I personally feel they are also a version of collectors art. That is why we all refer to each others RMC wardrobe as a collection. Its not easy to justify paying $500 and up for a pair of jeans, but when buying RMC your also getting a rare piece of art from a very talented designer.

If that is not what you are looking for, then RMC is probably not for you. For me its hard to keep the credit card in the wallet when a new design comes out.

ok for a start i cant put into words how sick this jacket is

Red Monkey Jacket RMC Jeans | Togged

other then that funnily enough i find RMC too tame in the sense im not a big fan of just pocket design which seems to be a big part of RMC. i like there stuff that goes outside this realm but like you said dunny i like to keep it low key

now these i could def see myself wearing

RMC Martin Ksohoh Sumo denim jeans REDM3254 | Togged

i like artful dodger jeans but only about 4 in the range i own these which made me fall in love with embroidery and originally brought me here

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_CY3v7xY_E2g/SC.../ad2037A-1.jpg

i just got a pair of christian audigier again i knew nothing about the brand but liked the jeans. when i got home i did a bit of research and read the topic on here so thats all i will say about those jeans :P. although i cant for the life of me find a pic of them anywhere online so they are prob about a million years old or sumin. i have been checking as well to make sure they rnt fake and if they are **** me im never buying the real thing anymore but all tags check out with authentic forums and the quality is really good so should be all good. they have a giant white skull in the middle and then two skulls either side with krossed fingers.

i also have more tame jeans like akademiks and sir benni miles etc but nothing to write home about.i def have the bug though but not too sure i am ready or can justify RMC just yet although i would prob give both those pair away just for the jacket up top

Certainly like your taste in jackets, the Fu and Ra is stunning and would certainly get you noticed. However if you were feeling brave enough got for the Bondage one instead!

LOL, Looks like you want to get noticed big time! very bright indeed. I think even I wouldn't be brave enough, but who knows All that matters is that you like it. You will find with RMC and Yoropiko you will have all the bling you need but also with the quality to back it up
