yup dunny !!! i only have 1 pair of 1001's , there " the yes we can jeans " !! the others are 1002, im just wondering, can all RMC jeans that are the same design, e.g lets say the octopuss or year of tiger, do they come in both 1001 & 1002, or in just one of them?

and 1001 for a size 34 is slighly less baggy leg, they look like normal baggy jeans, 1002, its kinda nex level baggy ! , lol . . size 32 in 1002 is fine, i like that leg !!! x

Martin shuld do 1000 , . and call it slimmer leg jeans !! ..

ive seen a 1003 before on the forum, but do not know what design it was !!!

holla bk

Heh heh, Martin beat you to it, lot 1000 does already exsist, all be it the McDonalds staff jeans ( there is also lot 1001 for these too), but I am not aware of any other designs that are lot 1000, but certainly the McDonald staff jeans are normal fit, not baggy at all so should Martin ever do any more lot 1000 I will assume they will be a slimmer fit. Lot numbers are confusing, the lot 1003 you will have seen tend to be the all selvedge "Made in Japan" RMC's like Shins recent Fu Ra addition, the waistband is selvedge just like Yoropikos, these are pretty rare too, using red line Indigo selvedge ( normally red line selvedge is only seen on Black denim Made in HK jeans). The fit on 1003 is the same as 1002 incidently. It gets futher complicated by the fact that there are also lot 1001 3, these are often sample items ( although not always, it depends on the selvedge used as well, as you can have Yellow/Blue and other colour selvedges) Ive only seen this associated with the flock rainbow coloured pockets ( kinda looks like tartan when you look inside the pocket) and again are pretty rare due to the cost of producing the flock pockets. Perhaps we can look forward to a lot 1004 one day? As for whether all designs come in lot 1001 and lot 1002 well to be honest pre 2006 designs often did, maybe having 50 of each lot produced, however post 2007 you dont see much thats 1001 now, although RMCs like Octopus lady are effectively a version of 1001 fit wise as they are based around Yoropiko denim, certainly the leg of my Octopus is much slimmer than my normal 1002 RMCs. As most will have discovered, finding a universal fit with RMC is difficult which is probably why most people have a range of sizes in their collection, in my case 30 - 32.

nice bit of information dunny! thanks for sharing buddy the 1001 fit is nice, i wore a pair yesterday not as baggy as 1002. much straighter on the leg. love both lots!

gush maybe you should look at some of the yoropikos that have been washed. i have a pair and there like the 1001. great for everyday wear too, i did post some pics in "show your rmcs". Look great with hi-top trainers!

The recent yoropiko gold label are pretty slim fit. Lot 1001 have slimmer fits compared to 1002 and if they are black denim it'll feel even slimmer too. Lot 1002 that uses Japan denim like octopus lady, 2008 gold waves across back, or the newer gold, black, silver dragons will fit slimmer too compared to regular yoropiko or rmc. Dunny explained it really well with the fittings and also why there are people who's sizes ranges. For me it's 34-36.

Good question and if I an totally honest I really dont know LOL Obviously the made in Japan denim is made in Japan and the normal RMC denim is made in Hong Kong but you probably guessed that already
The selvedge is different of course ( japan red line indigo selvedge and HK red/green indigo selvedge), but we are now seeing new RMC ( Original Red with Blue/Orange/Gold selvedge) and MKWS sugar (red/green) denims that are produced in Japan as well now. Shins lot 1003 jeans seemed to me to be a slightly heavier weight of denim than the normal RMCs, and slightly lighter Indigo to my eyes but I could be wrong. The black RMC denim is different as well, seems more slubby to me. In essence there isnt a massive difference where they are made, in general most are made using unbleached organic cotton and are made on vintage selvedge looms at a weight of 13.4oz I believe, I guess its a question only really Martin could answer in truth.
Certainly if you thought different Lot numbers and waistpatches made RMC complicated, then the selvedges and denim types across all RMC that has been made will confuse you even more, but it certainly keeps the fakers busy because with so much variety they cant keep up anymore ( and neither can I!!!) LOL

it seems like the way the jeans are made, they dont have any consistency. Like evisu have lot 1001 which are baggy, similar to rmc 1002. I hate baggy jeans now, they just dont look right anymore. I used to have loads, but i am able to kind of pull it off as i have long legs, so they look abit slimmer. I now wear lot 1005 in evisu which is a slim fit, i would say it is a normal fit, and looks and fits perfect.

Is rmc lot 1001 similar to evisu 1005?
