Default Hello - 11-01-2009, 01:26 AM

Hello all, I'm new to the whole style of RMC, so please go easy on me, both for my style and my phrases, I need to learn

Anyway, I'm fairly new to the style, I've knew of/about the jeans for a while now, but I was always scared off by the price, I'm only a student and I never thought I could pull off the extravagant styles, so I kinda chickened out, as you do when you're young. Anyway, a few months back, I bought a couple pairs of Evisu's, one pair were just your stock, seagull on the pockets pair that were in the sale, the others were the multi-pocket jeans. I was surprised how comfy they were and although the designs weren't great, the whole style of the jean, the heavier denim, the deep blues and the toughness of the jeans really impressed me. Anyway, with Christmas coming in the next few months and me about to enter my first job (part time), I feel it's time that I invest in some RMC's.

So, I've been looking around online at some of the authorized sellers, I like the majority of the jeans, but I'm currently looking towards something a little easy, nothing too bold and nothing too dear, so Yoropiko hungry dragons are definitely outta my league. I noticed on the site TopStreetwear, there were some really nice pairs and fairly affordable prices: do they deliver to the UK from Sweden? Also, would people say the fitting is comparable or similar to Evisu?

Sorry if I've blabbed on a little, but I thought if I was to introduce myself, I may as well give it ago, instead of just a one liner. I'm only 18, I live in Northern England which is riddled with chavs/fake clothing, I'm hoping to get into the RMC look, I really like the jeans, but I've not seen too much of anything else, things like jackets and tops. What do you guys usually wear with your RMC's? I'm quite keen on hooded tops or bold coloured jackets, so just introducing me to your style and showing me a few outfits would be really helpful.

Hope to get into the community here and learn the style from a few addicted pro's

Hi there and welcome to the forum. Good to see another person who found the brand after trying Evisu, certainly you will find the fit very similar to Evisu's raw selvedge jeans so choosing your size should be pretty easy at least. Sadly Topstreetwear dont sell outside of the Scandnavian region as several of our forum members have found but there are a few UK dealers, just check the dealer listing to see the closest one to you although many now dont carry stock in store. You cant beat Togged for the availible range of gear and excellent service so its worth saving a little more if you can you wont be dissapointed.
The louder stuff does take a bit of getting used to but once you revel in the attention such gear provides, you will be hooked. If price is an issue at first check out the Diffusion range of RMC, you can get the plain jeans with the complete back covered in the waves design, not too over the top but will still let you stand out from the crowd. Anyway best of luck buddy

EDIT This is the pair I was talking about incidently, the waves on the back are availible in a wide range of alternative colours and at £181 a pair these are a great way to start your collection http://www.togged.com/RMC-Martin-Kso...B0019AQSK6.htm

They're nice, I like them, I may have to invest.

Well, incidentally, on the authorized stores, there is one in my local town. 'Sugar Rays' in Stockton Heath (Warrington), however, I understand that the shop isn't there anymore, I passed down the road the other day and couldn't spot it, whilst my mate tells me it shut a while back.

As you say about not selling them in store, one of the main reasons holding me back from buying some was simply because I couldn't try any on/see them up close and personal. They look awesome online, but pictures can never give you the true feeling of quality denim, after reading a few opinions on here, I think it's fair to say that I don't need to see the quality in the flesh for me to buy some, the standard is extremely high.

LOL, a fellow Warringtonian, I was born there many many years ago Yeah Sugar Rays used to carry Yoropiko but their website has been closed for about year so I suspect they have gone out of business as a guess sadly. liverppool used to have 2 dealers but sadly they have also gone the way of the Dodo Whatever you decide on you wont be disapointed by RMC's quality I promise

Welcome to the forum wire_rob! Like Dunny mentioned waves design is pretty nice way to step into the world of RMC. Not too OTT, still fresh and different. Not to mention high quality. Nevertheless welcome to the world of RMC...

welcome to the forum. Since you are in UK, Togged will be your best source for your RMC/Yoropiko needs. If you could make a trip down to Togged's shop, you will be amazed at what you see and you get to pick and feel all the different designs so you get to pick out better on which design you want to start off with.

Thanks for the welcomes, guys.

Where is the togged shop in the UK?

I like the waves, I like pretty much the majority of designs by RMC if I'm being honest, it's hard not to, but as I said, I'm just looking for something a little easy going both on the eye and the wallet for now. I think the waves will be purchased, if I'm impressed as I expect to be, I'll move onto the flashier stuff
