Default hello from the south - 01-26-2010, 05:09 AM

Hello all,

My name is Axel Eckes, I like cool cars, nice clothes , Belgian beer and anything intricate or made with a piece of some one's soul.

I have this...... allergy? to a 9to5 job LOL so I started selling vintage clothing, which is easy for me since I live in metro Atlanta and 12 goodwill stores are with in a half hour drive. Mostly I sell Levi's from 74-85 and the occasional designer brand, Frankie B, Diesel, 7 for all mankind and true religion. i recently found 2 pair of envisu jeans and 2 never worn pairs of RMC jeans. I had no idea the detail and overall quality these jeans were made with, I just recognized the names and value. The RMC jeans sold the day i listed them (for 200, big surprise, didn't know HOW valued they were) and 1 pair of the envisu sold that week.

One day last year I had some things to do and had no clean pants..... now I should add, I have never worn jeans, parents never bought them when i was a child and as an adult I just wore Dickie's or other pants, i happened to notice these dark pants with a big white upside down W painted on it, so I figure why not give em a try........ 12 hours later all I could say is "where have you been all my life?" .... now, like alot of folks, I have a jeans collection that is worth the value of a small car. BUT i can honestly say, I have never payed more than 10 dollars for a pair of ANY of my jeans.

My jewelry collection is dice, BWL, chrome hearts and C&H. I never minded paying 400 used for a small pendant from BWL because I know the amount of time and care that went into making each piece, thats what brought me here. Martin Ksohoh is the Courts and Hackett of denim, and it's my goal to get a pair of his jeans and wear them every week until they bury me, my hope is that soon he will do something in American biker style. Slim fitting style with skulls and spider webs. But I'll let the artist be the artist, I am just here to learn

Hi there Mal, what a great introduction and a very warm welcome to the forum. Good to see, why we here, are considered obsessives and that by the sounds of it we are not alone in our persuit to perfection LOL I would always say to anybody, that even if RMC isnt your thing style wise, the quality and attention to detail will impress anybody and I genuinely dought there is any other denim product out there that suppases RMC ( of course I'm bias LOL). Anyway enjoy the forum and feel free to present you opinions on any of the many threads contained within

What i am and who i want to be

forgive me, i get excited about really detailed "craftsman" quality things. I am already looking forward and saving for some RMC jeans that are my style.
