When I saw close up pics of the denim I immediately thought of Sugarcane, another of my denim favourites, so that bodes well for the quality, looking forward to seeing more in the future.

Looks Good, classic Japanese Denim... The denim in the pics looks sanforized... I wonder if the jeans will come in raw or sanforized form...

I must admit, I still prefer the louder designs that RMC/Yoropiko is known for, certainly that will still remain the focus of my collection for the forseeable future so I hope Martin continues to produce classic RMC despite the way trends are moving for plainer more clean cut jeans of late. For me, there are already lots of brands who cater for Japanese style quality denim, I dont think it needs another player on the field, and my main reason for buying RMC is not only the quality but the fact that I stand out and dont look like everybody else I see in the club or walking around in the mall.

Bowing down to market forces and pressures and trying to follow trends instead of creating them is partly what caused Evisu to fall from grace, but RMC is better than Evisu ever was, creating an identity in style that remains timeless, thus its never in fashion but its never out of it either.

Here is another pic of the new RMC O.R. made in Japan jeans, check out the stunning box it comes in!!! Full selvedge denim running along each side covered and wrapped around the wooden box base, with an RMC waistpatch next to the clipper that closes it. Its sort of like an office clip file, the box alone makes it a must purchase item!!!

Yeh but u got to understand that evisu is the main reason why rear pocket deisngs are known. Evisu did it all first, they been doing it for years, and i wouldnt say they have fallen, as they are doing exactly what martin is now doing, which is creating denim for distinct target markets while keeping their originality. Evisu still do quality designs such as the recent lee x evisu collab. I believe that evisu have been there and done that with the whole crazy designs, and now they are producing more simple designs if you look at their recent collection. I personally dont like some of the jeans that evisu did, such as the squid etc. but others did, i mean in selfridges they sold out liek crazy, so they must be doing something right. Same as i dont like some of rmc's designs which are just too wacky. Also as many would agree (maybe not in this forum) but the whole crazy back embroidery business is not popular as ed hardy and christian audigier killed it. They bought out so many designs etc. that people are sik of looking at them. I remember last summer christian audiger and ed hardy was the in thing, the more designs on your outfit the better, but now if you go to a lub the jeans are always fitting hardly any embroidery and the t shirts are really the only item of clothing which have the crazy designs on.
