There is a little shop in guangzhou in china, he is working with the factory directly, he is like the main source for all the styles on his photo gallery.

All other websites that sell fakes get them from him in some way, so this is a good guide if u wanna compare pictures. Hes the main source for the evisu bape bbc and rmc... I know there are some other fake styles too that he dont have, they are coming from another factory located in a city more south from gz.

Anyway in this shop he sells them for between 50-90rmb which is like 8-15usd.

Everyday they ship jeans all over china, to these people that run the common fake selling websites on internet. They also come and place orders in the shop, and they can be picked up the day after.

Also the common counterfeiter shops in beijing shanghai etc... buy from this location usually...

New styles use to come in the last quartal every year.

Really raid some smal sellers shops doesnt stop anything.....in this case u have to go for the source...

I happend to end up in the business when I was studying chinese in shanghai 2006. That was the best time too, you buy a piece 10usd, I could sell it for 150-200 easy, Some days I could ship out 10-20 pieces.... made an easy 2000usd for just like 1 hours work,,,, The money lost its value to me...was like crazy.... Then I finsihed study in january 2007 so I moved to norway and started to work instead

I personally never wore any fakes, it feels discusting to wear 'em cause the material is so bad....

Thanks for your candid honesty, the fake problem as you say will only really be dealt with if the Chinese factories producing them are shut down, however I guess they will just set up shop again somewhere else. All we can do on this forum as members is try to educate people who have an interest in purchasing real RMC and give them the information so they can make informed decisions. If people buy stuff thats fake and they know it, then fine, they would never have bought the real stuff in the first place so no sale is lost to RMC. It is the people who unknowingly spend a lot of money buying stuff they think is real I feel most sorry for, and also Martin too because people seeing these fakes thinking that this is what real RMC is made like, and then are put off real RMC and then never buy the real product, that is a lost sale to Martin and doesnt do his reputation any good either. The only way to hurt these fakers is to create a situation where nobody wants to buy the fakes because they know the truth, no buyers = no fakes made, its simple

the only problem is that there will always be buyers for fake stuff, the amount of fake evisu i see people wearing is unbelievable, but if you can cut off the source it can only be a good thing! some people just cant afford real stuff and others just dont care that it is fake. And as dunny said its buyers who think they are buying geniune products who are getting ripped ,for basically crap products!, it must infuriate martin trying to keep on top of this must seem impossible.

thanks for coming clean on you being one of the fake dealers before and really hope you mean it when you call quits. China really needs to crack down on all these fake manufacturers and distributors.

I think its really hard first they so so corrupt, second the a large number of their population is surviving casue of all the piracy, these poor people that sells dvds, fake wallets and stuff... what i learned they really dont wanna do it but thats their only way to an income..... If the guvernment really cracked down on the factories they end up with a whole bunch of unemployed and homeless people,,, and china will stop growing so fast.........

it doesn't if the country's growing fast bout if it's growing right. having a economy bloom due to demands and manufacturing of counterfeit goods will only make other countries shut their doors on them sooner or later cause other countries are trying hard to eliminate counterfeits. how many unemployed and homeless people all depends on how the country manages and help the people and not letting them do watever they want to survive even when it leads to illegal business.

Its certainly good to receive an insight into the other side of the fakes market, and understandably the poor Chinese workers who are basically slave labour have no idea or choice about what they are doing. As you say they are just trying to earn enough to put food on the table. You are quite right too that without the whole fake industry China would loose a huge chunk of its export economy. Some people say its the genuine manufacturers who are to blame for creating demand that they cannot supply and for hiking the cost of their products to such a level normal people cannot afford them even in the Western world. I certainly dont agree with this thought, more often than not high end product costs more simply because its better made and also done in small quantities. After all whats the point in paying buck bucks for clothes everybody else wears? There is no simple answers and this type of thing will always happen, so long as we act as educaters, then we will have done our bit.

Isn't there any other way for them to get money? yeah it's makin them money but is there No other trade that they can even do besides working in extremely dirty,hazardous,conditions? i dont know...

if you go and live in china for 1-2 years you will understand... its hard to explain...

Many old people and yougn people with no education, its hard for them to get a job,, if they get one its some shit thtat pays like 100-200usd a month probably... so they rather sell fakes on the street or in a shop...

I have another chinese friend that went to university in UK, he started to work for Philips in china, he programs ic boards for displays to mobile phones (nokia, se, siemens and more..) a pretty good job... but only pays like 900usd a month.... then if ur young and know good english its very easy to start selling fakes to western countries, set up a company like this will make way more than 900usd a month...

But i think no one is proud to sell them, they get no respect for this...
Maybe a couples of year later it will decrease, as more people get more money more people can afford to put their kids in school....

Anyway chinese people are good buyers,,, they love to buy luxury products, i think china is the biggest market in the world for authentic luxury brands like lv gucci.. ?

China is booming for sure but as you say the gap between rich and poor is huge, those that have plenty money buy lots of authentic designer goods, and of course those that cannot afford such luxuries will buy the fakes to try and keep up. I would say that it is probably accurate that China is the biggest market for authentic designer goods than anywhere else in the world. Even if its just to buy them so they can make better copies
