So there is this store on South St in Philly called Image on South. now this weekend I was told they sold RMC. I had to check for myself. and then I got into an argument with the guy who owns the place because I told him he was selling Rangy mountain the label was the black with gold writing. now all he has left is a couple of pairs of shorts. with the older designs selling for $40. it's selvedge but it's just single red line, no green. the waist size was hand stamped. oh, and he said the brand was dead, and he asked me "what do you work for the company or something?" I lied and said I was a moderator on this forum , bragged about my Yoropiko collection and told him I knew what I was talking about.

so what do you do in this situation?? how do I prove to this guy that he's selling fakes? and has been for who knows how long.

the thing that pisses me off so much is that he is telling me that I'm wrong about something I've spent so much money on, and feel so passionately about. what he is selling if fake knockoffs, it's some old designs made into shorts. it's a good fake I was surprised, but to the ones in the know they were Rangy Mountain S#!T . I'm about to go down there with my whole collection in a suitcase (or a couple) wearing my full dragon combo, and a laptop with the power point presentation and show him whats what.

Heh heh, yeah this forum has a naughty words list in Admin which blocks a whole multitude of expleatives and replaces them with little stars LOL

Anyway back to the subject at hand.....well done for pointing out to this guy something he clearly is in denial over. I suppose in fairness he isnt alone, many boutiques got duped by the Rangy fakes, even DJ premium and were adamant that what they were selling was legit. Needless to say such a slur on a store being discovered selling fakes jeopardizes his entire business, after all whats to say the rest of his stock isnt fake, and consider the backlash from customers who have purchased items from this store in good faith.

You will be probably be wasting your time giving him any futher info, clearly he doesnt want to hear the truth, I mean its not only a slur on his business but also an embarresment to him also for being duped when he probably believes he knows the fashion business well. I think most of the retail sellers have wised up now to Rangy and we still see it floating about on the likes of E bay too but in the main most boutiques know about the situation and no longer stock it or have removed their Rangy items.

you can always take down the shop information, maybe take a pic of the evidence aka the fake jeans sold in his shop, email sales@rmcjeans.co.uk and get them to send them a lawyer letter lol.
